2-year and 4-year HBCU Administrators, Sponsored Research personnel, and Research Faculty:
Alabama State University was recently awarded funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to conduct an HBCU EPSCoR Regional Outreach Workshop at Alabama State University (HERO-ASU). This intensive 1.5 day event is designed for administrators, sponsored research officers (SROs), and faculty researchers from 2-year and 4-year HBCUs located in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana to gain insight regarding the grant application process by providing direct access to NSF Program Officers for specific directorates. We plan on having sessions that will discuss strategies to make grant applications more competitive. Additionally, there will be a special session dedicated to institutions who are new to NSF and interested in acquiring funding.
We look forward to hearing from you and welcome your participation to make this workshop a success by providing a venue to interact directly with program officers. Please visit the workshop webpage https://www.alasu.edu/cstem/hero-workshop to view the tentative workshop agenda and register for this event . If selected to participate in-person, travel and hotel costs for each participant will be covered by Alabama State University through the NSF Grant Award (Early Registration ends January 31, 2024).
